食べづらい食器

餃子屋へ向かう途中にフラっと入った原宿のBY TRICOというショップにあった食器です。ご覧の通りただのスプーンとナイフとフォークなのですが、どこか普通と違うのですね。よく見るとこのスプーンは大きい上に真ん中に穴が空いていますし、フォークは1本欠けていて、ナイフに至っては先端部分の刃が欠けた状態なのです。どう見ても食べづらそうです。

実はこれ、店員さん曰く「食べるのが早い人向け」の食器だそうです。

例えば自分は食べる速度が比較的早いので人よりも早く食事が終わってしまい待っている事が多いのです。本当は相手に合わせるのがマナーなのですが、一口の量が多いのかどうも早く終わってしまうのですね。ところがそんな早食い君がこれを使うと食べるのにどうしても時間が掛かるのです。しかし逆にそのお陰で周りの人のペースに合うという事です。なるほど！でした。面白いコンセプトですね。

普段モノを作る時って出来るだけ便利で人に優しくって考えるものですが、あえて人に優しくしない事が、実は特定のターゲットにとって役に立つモノになる可能性もあるんだなってちょっとした発見でした。逆の発想の勝利です。
