英漢字
夜中にニューデザインパラダイスというTV番組を観ていたのですが、その中で書道家の國重友美さんが考案された「英漢字」という名の書道を紹介していました。
彼女の説明に依ると
「英漢字とは英語で書いても、漢字で書いても同じ意味の文字です。」
との事です。
例えば「花」という漢字を分解すると、[草冠]+[イ]+[ヒ]の3つのパーツから成り立っているのですけど、そのパーツを「花」を英語にしたflower（f+l+o+w+e+r）の5つのアルファベットを組み合わせて漢字の様に見立ててるんですね。一見全然違うものなのに、作品として観るとちゃんと漢字として読めるから不思議です。漢字が分かる人も英語しか分からない人もこの英漢字は意味が分かるんですね。
こういう発想はとても面白いし個人的に大好きです。面白いだけでなく、アートとしてもオシャレですね。実際に作品を目にして眺めてみると分かると思います。
